(More customer reviews)Okay, this does what it is supposed to do. If you are going from a brief speedo or a regular jammer you can get 1-3 second per 50 increase in speed. The design doesn't absorb water so I suspect you get a little boost just from bouyancy. The rest is the slick nature of the fabric. I will caution that although it fits true to size on the waist, the bottom of the leg opening, near your knee, are tight to the point of being irritating. If you have ideas about doing a whole triathlon in one of these (like me)you are probably going to have cut or stretch the elastic at the knee.
